Kristine Lauria, CPM, Whitney Pinger, CNM and Dr. Rixa Freeze, PhD provide peer review/debriefing for your breech or twin births. (We also are happy to peer review head-down births!) You may choose the desired length of time and the attendees in the peer review group. If desired, we will provide you with documentation of the peer review.
We are also happy to host an informational session if you are a parent or birth attendant and would like to talk about an upcoming birth.
Cost:
$125 per hour + $100 for any additional hours
For group peer reviews: The first 2 people are included in the hourly fee, then add $10 per person for groups of 3+
About the facilitators:
Rixa Freeze has a PhD from the University of Iowa and is a researcher, professor, and mother of 4 young children. Her current research specialization is vaginal breech birth. She is the founder of Breech Without Borders, a nonprofit dedicated to disseminating knowledge about breech. She blogs at Stand and Deliver.
Whitney Pinger, CNM is the Founder of WISDOM Midwifery and Founder and past Director of GW Midwifery. At GW, she established the Vaginal Breech Initiative with a collaborative team and is passionate about educating providers of all backgrounds.
Kristine Lauria, CPM works for Médecins Sans Frontières and became BWB’s Global Midwifery Director in 2022. She has attended over 5000 births in more than 25 countries around the world, including over 520 vaginal breech births, 420 sets of vaginal twins, and 10 sets of vaginal triplets. She is the creator and instructor of BWB’s Master Class on breech & twins.
We make every effort to have as many facilitators at the meeting as possible. However, due to their busy teaching schedules, we cannot always have everyone present.
