Kristine Lauria, CPM

Kristine Lauria is BWB's Global Midwifery Director and works for Médecins Sans Frontières. She specializes in high-risk maternity care in low-resource environments and is passionate in her support of bodily autonomy in medical decision making and is a staunch advocate for undisturbed, physiologic birth.

She has attended thousands of births in more than 25 countries around the world; many of them being vaginal breech births with countless sets of vaginal twins and triplets.


Whitney Pinger, CNM

Whitney Pinger is the Founder of WISDOM Midwifery and Founder and past Director of GW Midwifery. Whitney is committed to evidence-based maternity care and vaginal breech delivery. At GW, she established The GW Vaginal Breech initiative with a collaborative care team and is passionate about the education of the next generation of midwives, physicians, nurses, and students of all backgrounds.


Rixa Freeze, PhD

Rixa has a PhD focusing on childbirth and maternity care from the U of Iowa. Her research focus began with homebirth and unassisted birth and ended with vaginal breech birth. She is the lead author of the textbook A Guide to Physiological Breech Birth and has authored several papers on home birth, breech birth, and twin birth.

FAQs

What language will the training take place in?
The hands-on training will take place in English, with guest instructors able answer questions in Italian, Portuguese, German, French, and Flemish.
The online course, Breech Pro 2.0, is available in English, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese. 

What is your cancellation policy?
If you are called away to a birth or family emergency on the day of the training and cannot reschedule your breech training day, you will receive 2 month's virtual access to the activity station materials (preferred) or €100 refund.

Otherwise tickets are nonrefundable.

Do I need to be enrolled in Breech Pro 2.0 to attend the training?
Yes. All registrants to our in-person trainings are required to have a current Breech Pro 2.0 enrollment. Your training registration includes enrollment in or upgrade to Breech Pro 2.0.

Do I have to complete Breech Pro 2.0 prior to the training?
Yes, you must have completed 100% of Breech Pro 2.0 to be admitted on your hands-on training day. You will be asked to show your certificate of completion (downloadable upon finishing the course). If you have not completed the course, you will not be allowed to attend the hands-on training and you will not receive a refund on any portion of the training. 

How long will I have access to Breech Pro 2.0?
You will have 1 year's access from the date your registration is processed (typically within 24-48 hours), if you are enrolling for the first time. If you are renewing Breech Pro 2.0, you will have your access extended for 1 additional year.

Is there a deadline to register? 
We accept late registrations. However, there will be an additional charge if registering after the cut-off date 4 weeks prior to the event. 

Do you offer continuing education credits? 
EACCME CMEs are available for the online course (15.5 hrs). An application has been made to the EACCME/UEMS for accreditation of the live event (8.5 hrs). The training also includes 23.5 contact hours with ACNM, with reciprocity with MEAC, DONA, & ICEA (14.5 CE for Breech Pro, 9 CEs for hands-on).

Breech Pro 2.0 Completion Information:

All attendees will be required to present their certificate of completion of the online course, Breech Pro 2.0, in order to attend the hand-on training. Those who cannot provide either a printed or digital copy of their certificate will not be able to enter the training. No refunds will be provided if unable to attend unless previous communication and approval has occurred.
